Please note: During installation of the KCE-UNICAN interface, it is necessary to locate and connect to the vehicle's CAN-BUS signal. Incorrect connection to these cables could cause major damage to the interface or vehicle electronics. We would therefore recommend that this product is installed by a qualified auto electrician or car audio specialist.

KCE-UNICAN is a universal adapter for steering wheel remote controls which utilise the CANBUS protocol.

The KCE-UNICAN interface benefits from wide compatibility which extends to a large number of vehicles and to Alpine head units having a wired input on the back of the head unit for the control of the remote.

The module not only interfaces steering wheel commands but also provides outputs from the ignition key, illumination, reverse signal and vehicle speed signal where these are present on the CANBUS.

The selection of the protocol comes through a self learning process. This set up process is initiated when the unit is fully installed, and will take approximately a second to complete. The synchronisation and selection of the correct CANBUS protocol is automatically set at this time to match the type of vehicle to which the module is installed.
